This page details the declension of all nouns in the first declension. What is a declension?

The following are tables of the endings for first declension nouns. Our example is puella, -ae, f. (girl).

• As with all nouns, the endings are added to the stem. This can be arrived at as described in detailhere.
• Almost all first decl. nouns are feminine, but a few are masculine (eg nauta, -ae, sailor). However, these nouns take the same endings as feminines, but watch out when using them with adjectives.
